INTRODUCTION

This course exposes participants to the fundamental theories and concepts of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The facets of this course data entry, storage and cleaning/editing, spatial data structures, analytical functions of a GIS, data output, management of GIS, and applications of GIS. The course is facilitated using both theoretical and practical approaches, where the software is installed into their  laptop and practice it during the sessions.
